De Keyser (BEL) and Fuchs (HUN) victorious in Bled

By David Peddie | 09 Sep, 2012

Christophe De Keyser of Belgium and Renata Fuchs of Hungary were the winners of the ETU European Junior Cup in Bled.

Fuchs’ victory capped a fantastic week, following on from her maiden European Cup victory in Aguilas last weekend.

Kaidi Kivioja maintained her fine form in 2012 with the runners-up spot, her fourth podium finish of the year.

Lisa Schanung will also be pleased with her form this week as she followed up her runners-up spot in Aguilas with third place on the podium here.

In the Junior Men’s race, De Keyser had been earmarked as a potential winner before the race and he lived up to his billing with the first International victory of his career.

The Belgian led home compatriot Erwin Vanderplancke who finished in second place in Bled for the second year running.

Michelangelo Parmigiani of Italy secured his first International podium finish in third place.
