Across Europe, the authorities are taking action to prevent the onward march of the COVID-19 virus. We have been advised that the 2020 Alsdorf ETU Powerman Middle Distance Duathlon Championships, scheduled for 19th April have been cancelled on the advice of the German authorities.

“We sincerely regret the cancellation of Powerman Alsdorf. Many people prepared the event with true passion and great dedication to the best of their abilities. Thus, the decision to cancel the European Championships in our hometown Alsdorf was particulary hard and painful for all of us. However, under the given circumstances the health of our athletes, volunteers and the audience matters the most to us. Currently, our primary obligation is to contribute to minimize the spread of the virus and to prevent any further damage”, emphasizes Alfred Sanders, the major of Alsdorf.
