Europe Triathlon

ITU Vice President, Dr Sarah Springman, recently visited Bucharest and met with a representative of the Romanian Triathlon Federation, Vice President Tudor Vlad.

They discussed the birth and growth of triathlon in Romania, the recent formation of RTF, following separation from the Romanian Cycling Federation, and their exciting plans for the future.

Buoyed by their acceptance as members of ITU and ETU, the RTF intend to apply for development funding through ETU for 2014 to increase the number of qualified coaches and technical officials before embarking on an ambitious programme to identify talented athletes and help them to become competitive regionally and then world-wide.
