ITU Events World Conference in Budapest - still a few places

By Paul Groves | 15 Jan, 2017

Just over a month to go. Make a note in your diaries to go to the inaugural ITU Events World Conference in Budapest.

This will be a great opportunity, over the weekend 24th – 26th February, for you to really get in tune with “Triathlon Events got the next generation of athletes”.

A number of key speakers will be there to make presentations, lead workshops and breakout sessions and to encourage you to concentrate on the development and advancement of triathlon and multisport races. The speakers include Tour de France organiser A.S.O., IRONMAN Head of Cycling & Short Course Triathlon Operations Oliver Schiek, General Manager of the gruelling Norseman race Dag Oliver, and ITU Chair of Medical & Anti-doping Committee Dr Sergio Migliorini.

If you are planning to organize any endurance event, run/bike/run, swim/bike/run, run/bike/ski, or swim/run, then this is the conference for you. Included in the programme will be sessions on event marketing, sustainability, improving athlete experience, race planning and more. So as you can see, the benefit is not only for those who organise but also for those who work at the events, including National Federation Technical staff and Technical Officials.

ITU advises that exhibition space will also be offered alongside the conference. Becoming an exhibitor offers companies the perfect opportunity to showcase their brand to the world of triathlon event organisers, as well as three days to network with potential clients.

The conference will take place over the course of three days. For more on costs, speakers and information, visit http://eventsconference.triathlon.org/.
