ETU Powerman in Denmark: opportunities for Technical Officials and for families
ETU Powerman Vejle will be hosting the Middle Distance Duathlon European Championships this year, following a successful race last year. Click the photo below for the video.
It will be a tough race for the athletes, with some testing sections on the bike course over the 10k – 60k – 10k distance and a good test for anyone planning the BIG ONE in Zofingen later in the year. With just one month to go, there are still spaces in the Championship event and if you are accompanying, then why not come and race the Open Event over the shorter distance.
Check out the event website for information about the open race.
The Organisers and the International Powerman Association are offering free accommodation to Self-Funding Technical Officials.
The Technical Official Team will be led by Eugène Kraus (LUX) who has stepped in at the last moment to replace the highly-experienced Helmut Menger (GER) who has taken medical advice to step down. We at ETU wish Helmut a speedy recovery and look forwards to working with him again in the not too distant future.
The Head Referee will be Thomas Klingler (SUI) who has been so reliable at a variety of events and who knows the Powerman brand from his work in Zofingen.
If you want to be part of this team and if you are at least Level I (ITU Technical Official level), then please apply through your own federation, copying your e-mail to Eugène ekraus@pt.lu and to Alpar Nagy alpar.nagy@triathlon.org , who coordinates the SFTO programme. Also include Ronny Kert klubchef@vejle-if.dk from the Race Organising Team, who is managing the accommodation.
If you are successful, you will be able to play an important part in delivering this event, you will gain amazing experience under the guidance of two highly-experienced officials and will get free accommodation during the event. But hurry, spaces are limited.
