Blummenfelt (NOR) and Wilm (GER) claim victory in Tabor

By David Peddie | 29 Jul, 2012

Kristian Blummenfelt and Sarah Wilm both recorded their first victories of 2012 at the Junior European Cup in Tabor, Czech Republic.

Norwegian athlete Blummenfelt maintained his record of a podium finish in every International race in 2012, but this was his first victory since Brno last year.

For Germany’s Wilm, this was her first ever career victory at this level.

Despite missing out on the gold medals it was a fantastic race for the British team, sweeping up the remaining medals in both races.

In the Men’s race, Gordon Benson and Marc Austin finished behind Blummenfelt in second and third place respectively.

In the Women’s race, European Junior Champion Georgia Taylor-Brown recorded her second podium of the year with second place finish.

Sophie Coldwell maintained her fine recent form and followed up her victory in Tiszaujvaros earlier this month with third place.
